History of the Toyota Aygo (2009-2014)
The Toyota Aygo (2009-2014) is a car segment produced by the japanese manufacturer Toyota. There are two generations, released in 2005 (with minor changes in 2009 and 2012) and 2014, available at bodywork hatchback three and five doors. Produced in Kolín, Czech Republic, is an automotive a result of the cooperation between Toyota (Toyota Aygo) and the PSA Group (Citroen C1 and Peugeot 107/Peugeot 108), who are the owners of the factory. The interior and exterior design, equipment and versions are customized by the manufacturers, although they share common characteristics such as platforms or engines.
The Toyota Aygo was presented at the Geneva motor show 2005. His name is based on the expression "I-go", which in English means mobility, flexibility, and a sense of urban features applicable to an urban tourism. The main difference between the Aygo and the versions sisters of citroen and peugeot, are the side windows in the rear, the steering wheel and the front and the back. He began to be sold in July 2005 and the Aygo was available as a hatchback with three or five doors. He had two restyling, the first in 2009 that changed the shape of the front bumper and the rear lights to a clear appearance. The second was in 2012, this was added a bumper much more angular and were included daytime running lights (DRL).
Design of the Toyota Aygo (2009-2014)
