History Renault Trafic (2001-2014):

This model trafic is the second generation, which replaced the first generation, which began manufacturing in 1981 until the year 2002.

In that same year, Renault launched the second generation, which would be on the market until 2014, as we can see, are models with many years in the market, so that during this time, suffer several changes, both internal and external, without touching chassis.

This generation called a chassis-X83, was developed in Paris, at that time there was the Renault-Nissan alliance and General Motors, taking advantage of the platform, this model was launched by Renault, Nissan and Opel, so it is also sold as the Nissan Primastar, Opel Vivaro and, in the United Kingdom as the Vauxhall Vivaro. Later, other brands would use this same chassis, it is also sold under the name of Fiat Talent and Mitsubishi Express.

This model was manufactured in two factories, one located in Barcelona, and another in Luton, England.

This model came with two options, one with a base cut (3100 mm) and a long (3500 mm), with a maximum load capacity of 1,200 kg, and the greater usable volume of the cargo compartment: 6 cubic meters.

With regard to the passenger model, this model has a version of 9 squares.

Another advantage of this model is its versatility, as the second and third row can be folded with ease, increasing the cargo space if needed in some occasions, without a doubt, one of the biggest advantages of this model.

Another curiosity is their configuration with respect to the doors, with numerous configuration options for doors (side and rear) and rear seats (2nd and 3rd rows), which makes this model one of the most configurable of the market.

Advanced security for the time, told with an air bag, both in the duct and in the airbag, and seat belts in all seating positions.

There were three possible finishes, namely:

Trafic Fourgon, Combi and Passenger.

• Trafic Fourgon : ideal for work load of material to only have squares in front.

• Trafic combi: Mini bus 9 seater, ideal for the transport of persons, as particular as public.

• Trafic Passenger: the bus, the comfort (7-8 seats) focused on the professional activity

This model has several diesel engines, all of them with turbocharger and common-rail direct injection: a 1.9-liter 82 or 100 HP, a 2.0-liter, 90 or 115 HP, and a 2.5 liter 135 or 145 HP.
