HISTORY AND DESIGN OF THE RENAULT GRAND SCENIC (2003 – 2009)
The Renault Grand Scenic of the second generation went on sale in the year 2003 to the year 2009.
This generation was launched to the market in two versions: the longer version of the ‘Grand Scenic’ and the short ‘Scenic’. The Renault Grand Scenic was a vehicle available in five and seven seats, and was considered best mpvs in Europe from 2003 to 2009.
The Renault Grand Scenic (2003 - 2009) had dimensions of 4,49 meters long, 1.80 meters wide and 1,62 m high.
With respect to their safety, the Grand Scenic second-generation wore series stability control and traction control.
THE ENGINE OF RENAULT GRAND SCENIC (2003 – 2009)
The Renault Grand Scenic (2003 – 2009) was available in four petrol engines and three diesel engines:
- Fuel:
• 1.4 16V 98 CV with a box of five-speed manual transmission.
• 1.6 16V 115 HP with a five-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic.
• 2.0 16V 135 BHP with a six-speed manual transmission or four-speed automatic.
• 2.0 T 163 BHP with a six-speed manual transmission.
- Diesel:
• 1.5 dCi 82 HP, 85 HP and 100 HP with a five-speed manual transmission. It also had an engine with 105 HP and gearbox six-speed manual transmission.
• 1.9 dCi 120 HP and 131 HP with a six-speed manual transmission.
• 2.0 dCi 150 HP with a six-speed manual transmission.
