HISTORY OF THE PEUGEOT 4007
The Peugeot 4007 is listed as SUV-compact crossover. Its presentation took place in July 2007 at the Geneva motor show, arriving at the German market in September of that same year.
The PSA Group developed the Peugeot 4007 beside its ‘twin’ car, the Citroën C-Crosser, based on the Mitsubishi Outlander. These models are manufactured by Mitsubishi in Japan. Its production would end in the spring of 2012.
DESIGN OF THE PEUGEOT 4007
The Peugeot 4007 is a SUV with all-wheel drive plug-in, five-door, seven-seater.
Its seven seats are spread over three rows of seats, with the seats of the third row is only suitable for occupants of small stature, and for trips of short duration.
This vehicle has a comfortable suspension and has a traction system that allows you to select via a rotary control, three operating modes: all-wheel drive, front-wheel drive and ‘Lock’.
The 4007 is available in two finishes: Premium Sport Pack. Although the petrol engine can only be associated to the Sport trim Pack.
All versions of this vehicle include a series 6 airbags, stability control, second-row seats with adjustable longitudinal control, climate control, cruise, power-on, automatic headlights, fog lamps, trip computer, radio CD MP3, exterior mirrors-folding electrically driven wheels 16’ alloy and leather steering wheel.
The Sport version Pack includes headlights xenon, heated front seats, driver's seat power-adjustable, parking sensors rear and alloy wheels 18’.
As a bonus, the Peugeot 4007 can carry camera rear view, Bluetooth connection, DVD player and a browser with a hard disk.
THE ENGINE OF THE PEUGEOT 4007
The Peugeot 4007 is available in a petrol engine and one diesel:
- 2.4 170 CV
- 2.2 HDi 156 HP
Since September of 2009, the Diesel engine can be combined with a gearbox automatic dual-clutch six-speed, very similar to the ‘DSG’ of the Volkswagen Group. You can also take a manual transmission six relationships.
The gasoline engine (2.4 170 CV) can only be purchased with an automatic transmission varied continuously.
